Such is life.
One of my favorite Maltese sayings.
And often expressed with hilarious timing by locals, with the signature open-armed shrug followed by a pouting lipped / neck jutting gesture. You kinda have to see it in person to understand what the hell I'm talking about, but for those of us who have been here for 10 months, this saying and nonchalant attitude is so true to the culture that all we can do now is laugh and say...
mella.
I have just 2 days left on this beautiful island in the middle of the sea.
Anonymous to many, home to some, and a place in my heart forever.
For its incredible history, breathtaking sunsets, gorgeous water, magnificent sights, and for giving me months of adventure, life lessons, and friendships, my time in Malta will always be a beautiful memory.
Since pictures are worth a 1,000 words here is my visual explanation of a place I will not soon forget.
Such was life, my Maltese life...
Good bye Malta...it's been amazing. |

Kept like jewelry kept with devotion.

All my life I will wait to attain it"
